Frequently asked questions
Questions we are regularly asked about this fixture and its variants.
How is the Drum 170 Flush ceiling light installed?
The supplied mounting bracket is screwed to the ceiling and the supply cable is connected to the quick connector (live, neutral and earth). While it is being wired, the luminaire hangs from two safety cords; it is then pushed up against the ceiling and twisted onto the bracket.
Is the Drum 170 Flush ceiling light dimmable?
No. The built-in driver is not dimmable. Connect the luminaire to a standard switch, not to a dimmer.
Is the LED of the Drum 170 Flush ceiling light replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated and not replaceable; its rated life is 30000h. At the end of it the whole luminaire is replaced.
Can the Drum 170 Flush ceiling light be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The Drum 170 Flush ceiling light is IP22 and intended for indoor spaces where the luminaire does not come into direct contact with water. Bathroom zones and outdoor use call for a luminaire with a higher IP rating.
Is the black Drum 170 as bright as the white one?
Yes. According to the EPREL product information sheet, both colours deliver 1800 lm at 18W and 3000K. The housing colour makes no difference.
