Powder-coated aluminium in black
Bar and spot are powder-coated aluminium in black. Against a dark ceiling the luminaire is barely noticeable. The white version has the same dimensions, the same GU10 socket and the same mounting. 5-year warranty.

Installation
Surface mounted on the ceiling, bar 175 × 32 × 30 mm
You screw the bar straight onto the ceiling, on a solid or a hollow substrate; no recess or cut-out is needed. The bar is 30 mm thick and the whole 161 mm high — on the asymmetric Tuup Slim Asym that is 18 mm and 148 mm. The spot turns and tilts. Fixings and the manual are in the box.

Tube
Tube Ø42 × 114 mm, comes off without tools
The tube pulls off its spot. That is how you change the GU10 lamp without taking the luminaire apart, and the spot stays aimed where you set it. The same move swaps the tube for one in brushed brass, brushed bronze or gun metal — the separate Tuup Slim Tube, one per spot, not supplied.

Straight surface spotlight, one GU10 spot, 175 mm bar, black
The Tuup Slim 1 is a surface spotlight with one adjustable spot on a 175 × 32 mm bar. The spot is not centred on the bar but sits further along, and it turns and tilts. The bar is 30 mm thick; with the Ø42 × 114 mm tube the whole is 161 mm high.
It connects to 230V without a driver, rated IP20 and Class I, so indoor and dry. The spot has a GU10 socket for a 35 mm LED lamp — the size the trade calls MR11. What that lamp delivers in output, colour temperature and beam angle is not set by the luminaire. The same bar comes with two spots (336 mm) and with three spots (560 mm).

What is the difference from the Tuup Slim on a rose?
The shape and the size. The Tuup Slim sits on a Ø60 mm round rose; the Tuup Slim 1 on a 175 × 32 mm bar, with the spot off centre. The bar is 30 mm thick and the whole is 161 mm high, against 157 mm for the round one. Both take one GU10 lamp and are screwed to the ceiling the same way.
How high does the luminaire sit below the ceiling?
161 mm in total, from the ceiling plane. The bar itself is 30 mm thick and 32 mm wide; the tube below it measures Ø42 × 114 mm. For comparison, the asymmetric Tuup Slim Asym has an 18 mm bar and is 148 mm high.
What lamp does this luminaire take?
One GU10 lamp, ordered separately: an LED spot with a 35 mm reflector — the size the trade calls MR11. The same bar comes with two spots (336 mm) and with three spots (560 mm).
Can the finish be changed later?
The bar stays white or black — that is the version you order. The tube does come off: they are sold separately as the Tuup Slim Tube in brushed brass, brushed bronze and gun metal, and there is a gold insert for the light opening. Allow one; those parts are not in the box.
Does the black version give less light?
No. The light comes from the GU10 lamps you choose yourself, and those are not supplied. The colour of the powder coating does not change the output — black and white give the same figures with the same lamps. What black does is make the 175 mm bar less noticeable against a dark ceiling.
