Version
Powder-coated aluminium in black
Bar and spots are powder-coated aluminium in black. Against a dark ceiling the luminaire is barely noticeable. The white version has the same dimensions, the same GU10 sockets and the same mounting. 5-year warranty.

Installation
Surface mounted on the ceiling, bar 220 × 42 × 18 mm
You screw the bar straight onto the ceiling, on a solid or a hollow substrate; no recess or cut-out is needed. The bar is 18 mm thick and the whole 148 mm high — on the straight Tuup Slim that is 30 mm and 161 mm. The spots sit to one side of the bar. Each spot turns and tilts on its own. Fixings and the manual are in the box.

Tubes
Tubes Ø42 × 114 mm, come off without tools
Each tube pulls off its spot. That is how you change the GU10 lamp without taking the luminaire apart, and the spot stays aimed where you set it. The same move swaps the tube for one in brushed brass, brushed bronze or gun metal — the separate Tuup Slim Tube, one per spot, not supplied.
Application
Asymmetric surface spotlight, two GU10 spots, 220 mm bar, black
The Tuup Slim Asym 2 puts two spots off the centre of a 220 mm bar, both on the same side. That is styling, not a mounting trick: the bar is 42 mm wide, exactly as wide as the tube, so nothing overhangs and the two light points sit on one continuous line. At 18 mm thick against 30 on the straight Tuup Slim, that line stays thin too.
The luminaire connects directly to 230V mains with no driver and is a Class I luminaire for dry indoor use only. Each spot has a GU10 socket for a 35 mm LED lamp (MR11); output, colour temperature and beam angle come from the lamp you choose, not from the luminaire. The same bar comes with one spot (128 mm) and with three spots (305 mm).

Frequently asked questions
Questions we are regularly asked about this fixture and its variants.
What does asymmetric mean on this luminaire?
That the two spots sit to one side of the bar rather than centred. It is a design choice: the bar is exactly as wide as the tube, so nothing overhangs and the luminaire reads as a single line. It changes nothing about mounting — you screw it to the ceiling the same way as the straight Tuup Slim.
How high does the luminaire sit below the ceiling?
148 mm in total, from the ceiling plane. The bar itself is 18 mm thick and 42 mm wide; each tube below it measures Ø42 × 114 mm. For comparison, the straight Tuup Slim has a 30 mm bar and is 161 mm high.
How many GU10 lamps does the luminaire need?
Two, one per spot. You order them separately: GU10 LED spots with a 35 mm reflector — the size the trade calls MR11. The same bar comes with one spot (128 mm) and with three spots (305 mm).
Can the finish be changed later?
The bar stays white or black — that is the version you order. The tubes do come off: they are sold separately as the Tuup Slim Tube in brushed brass, brushed bronze and gun metal, and there is a gold insert for the light opening. Allow one per spot; those parts are not in the box.
Does the black version give less light?
No. The light comes from the GU10 lamps you choose yourself, and those are not supplied. The colour of the powder coating does not change the output — black and white give the same figures with the same lamps. What black does is make the 220 mm bar less noticeable against a dark ceiling.
