Powder-coated aluminium in black
Plate, spots and tubes are powder-coated aluminium in black. The white version has the same dimensions, the same GU10 socket and the same mounting. Five-year warranty.

Surface mounting, plate 240 × 240 × 15 mm
You first screw the mounting strip from the box to the ceiling and then slide the plate over it; no recess or cut-out is needed. The plate is 15 mm thick and the spotlight 145 mm high — on the straight Tuup Slim that is 30 mm and 161 mm. Each spot turns and tilts on its own. Fixing material and manual are in the box.

Four tubes Ø42 × 114 mm, slide off without tools
Each tube slides off its spot. That is how you replace the GU10 lamp without dismantling the luminaire, and the spot keeps the direction you gave it. The same movement swaps a tube for one in brushed brass, brushed bronze or gun metal — the separate Tuup Slim Tube, four per luminaire, not supplied.

The Tuup Slim 4 is the only one in the Tuup Slim range that is not a bar. Four spots sit on a square 240 × 240 mm plate rather than in one line, and at 15 mm that plate is the thinnest in the range — the straight bars are 30 mm, the asymmetric ones 18 mm.
The spotlight connects directly to 230V mains without a driver and is rated IP20, Class I: indoor and dry only, and it must not be covered with insulating material. Each spot has a GU10 socket for a 35 mm LED lamp (MR11); luminous flux, light colour and beam angle depend on the lamp you choose, not on the luminaire. Count four lamps per luminaire.

Questions we are regularly asked about this fixture and its variants.
What is the difference from the Tuup Slim 1, 2 and 3?
The shape of the luminaire. Those three are bars with the spots in one line: 175 mm with one spot, 336 mm with two, 560 mm with three. The Tuup Slim 4 is a square 240 × 240 mm plate with four spots. Socket, tube and mounting are the same; at 15 mm the plate is thinner than the 30 mm of the bars.
How far does the spotlight project below the ceiling?
145 mm in total, measured from the ceiling plane. The plate is 15 mm thick and measures 240 × 240 mm; each tube below it measures Ø42 × 114 mm. For comparison: the straight Tuup Slims come to 161 mm and the asymmetric ones to 148 mm.
How many GU10 lamps does the spotlight need?
Four, one per spot. You order them separately: GU10 LED lamps with a 35 mm reflector diameter — the size the trade calls MR11. The same spot also sits on a bar with one, two or three light points.
Can the finish be changed later?
The plate stays white or black — that is the version you order. The four tubes do slide off: available separately as the Tuup Slim Tube in brushed brass, brushed bronze and gun metal, and there is a gold insert around the light opening. Count four; those parts are not in the box.
Does the black version give as much light as the white one?
Yes. The light comes from the four GU10 lamps you choose yourself; they are not part of the delivery. The colour of the powder-coated aluminium changes nothing about that. Black only makes the 240 × 240 mm plate less visible against a dark ceiling finish.
